Should I come even if my spouse will not
for counseling?
Yes. If you or your relationship is suffering, seek help now.
Even as you begin a spouse will often join the process, especially as
they begin to see you change. Sometimes people are afraid to come
into therapy, they can draw on the strength of your initiating the
process to overcome their hesitation to seek help.
What insurances do you accept?
Each therapist may be affiliated with different insurance companies.
Members of our staff are contracted with the following major insurance
companies: Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Harvard Pilgrim, United
Behavioral Health, Value Options. We can often work with your EAP
plan, but prearrangements are usually necessary. Most HMO plans
require preauthorization of services. We recommend that you
contact your insurance company (usually an 800 number on the back of
your card for Mental Health) and verify your benefits and ask if there
is a co-pay or deductible
How confidential is this?
The Health Privacy Act (HIPPA) requires that we cannot disclose
any information without your written permission unless there is a life
threatening situation. As all of our therapists are licensed, we
are mandated reporters and required by law to report life threatening
situations and cases of child abuse.
